DevOps Engineer

Enso Recruitment is proud to be working with an innovative, data-driven technology organisation who are continuing to scale their cloud and engineering capabilities.

They are now seeking a DevOps Engineer to play a key role in building and optimising modern, cloud-native platforms.

The Opportunity

You will work at the heart of the engineering function, enabling faster, more reliable software delivery through automation and DevOps best practices.

This is a hands-on role focused on CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and containerised environments, where you’ll collaborate closely with development teams to streamline workflows and improve system scalability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda)
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab
  • Develop and maintain automated deployment processes, ensuring smooth and reliable releases
  • Work with Docker and Kubernetes to manage and scale containerised applications
  • Monitor system performance using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or similar, ensuring high availability and reliability
  • Identify and resolve infrastructure issues, performance bottlenecks, and deployment challenges
  • Support testing automation, working with engineering teams to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to support build, release, and infrastructure requirements
  • Contribute to infrastructure optimisation, scalability, and cost efficiency across cloud environments
  • Support best practices across security, high availability, and disaster recovery

About You

  • Experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools and practices
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or another major cloud platform
  • Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Familiarity with scripting (e.g. Python, Bash)
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and distributed systems
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
