We are working with a well established software team in Belfast who are part of a global organisation to recruit for a Senior DevOps Engineer.

The Role

  • Design, build, and maintain advanced cloud-based environments, using automation to enable fast, reliable software delivery across our global product ecosystem.
  • Contribute to infrastructure design that ensures exceptional availability, performance, scalability, and strong security—earning the trust of millions of users worldwide.
  • Lead automation initiatives for build and deployment processes to improve speed, reliability, and consistency.
  • Create and maintain essential tools for deployment, monitoring, security, and operational excellence, empowering our engineering teams to deliver at their best.
  • Take full ownership of infrastructure build, release, and configuration management through code, promoting DevOps best practices.
  • Serve as a key expert for troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues across critical platforms and applications.
  • Continuously identify, propose, and implement impactful improvements to our CI/CD pipelines to elevate efficiency and innovation.
  • Safeguard critical systems with state-of-the-art cloud security solutions that protect assets and maintain user trust globally.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience in a modern DevOps or Platform Engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary CI/CD pipeline methodologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
  • Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools for build and deployment (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).
  • Skilled in implementing and managing system monitoring solutions.
  • Experience working with microservice architectures.
  • Understanding of API management platforms.
  • Previous experience supporting high-availability, secure enterprise systems—ideally within financial services.
