A Solution Architect role in London with a global consulting firm, joining an established architecture team working on complex, business-critical client programmes.

The firm is expanding its architecture practice in response to sustained demand across regulated industries and public services - this is a growth hire, not a replacement.

What You'll Be Doing as a Solution Architect

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading architecture activity on large client programmes, from early shaping through to delivery assurance
• Producing architecture documentation - solution designs, options analysis, and high-level design artefacts
• Acting as the senior technical voice alongside engineering teams, setting the architectural direction and principles others work to
• Partnering with senior client stakeholders on strategic business cases, including cost and planning input
• Working cross-functionally with product, design, data and delivery peers to land pragmatic solutions
• Supporting less experienced architects through coaching, peer review, and mentoring

What We're Looking For From The Solution Architect

• Software engineering background with experience leading engineering teams on production delivery
• Hands-on experience applying architecture and delivery methods to complex programmes
• Credibility across the main architecture disciplines, with demonstrable depth in at least one.
• Real delivery experience on at least one major public cloud platform, with working familiarity of the others
• Pragmatic, stakeholder-comfortable style suited to fast-moving client environments
• Must already hold UK SC clearance or be eligible for it

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Industry certifications are a plus rather than a hard requirement — e.g. TOGAF, AWS, Azure, GCP, SAFe.
