About the Client as a Solution Architect

Our client is a boutique, architecture-led consultancy embedded in some of the UKs most ambitious financial services programmes. They work closely with business and technology leaders to drive strategic change, from platform modernisation and core systems reengineering, to cloud adoption and integration overhaul.

Your Role

Youll be part of a highly credible, expert-led team shaping complex solutions across the full technology stack. Whether modernising legacy systems, enabling cloud-first strategies, or improving end-to-end integration, youll bring structure, clarity, and delivery alignment to everything you do.

What Youll Be Doing as a Solution Architect:

• Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end solutions across application, integration, and infrastructure domains
• Shape and steer technology change across major programmes, working closely with business and IT stakeholders
• Align solution design to business strategy, compliance standards, and long-term technology roadmaps
• Weigh options between cloud-native, hybrid, and on-prem approaches always rooted in commercial and operational impact
• Bring structure to delivery teams through architectural standards, patterns, and technical leadership
• Influence senior stakeholders by translating complex solutions into business-aligned recommendations

What Youll Bring as a Solution Architect:

Youre a credible solution architect who thrives in fast-paced, high-compliance environments. You understand the realities of Financial Services, legacy complexity, data sensitivity, and the need to balance innovation with control.

Key Experience:

• Deep experience in Financial Services (e.g. banking, insurance, wealth, or capital markets)
• Proven success delivering architecture across large-scale or complex transformation initiatives
• Expertise across relevant domains, particularly application, integration, and platform architecture
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern approaches (APIs, microservices, DevOps)
• Skilled in navigating delivery environments (Agile, hybrid, regulated change)
• Familiarity with architectural modelling tools and frameworks (TOGAF, ArchiMate, UML, etc.)
• Confident engaging with both technical teams and senior stakeholders, able to challenge, influence, and advise
