Senior Technical Account Architect – Life Sciences Data & AI
[London / Manchester/ Remote)
My client is looking for a Senior Technical Account Architect to be the key technical partner for their strategic pharma and biotech customers.
You’ll sit at the intersection of science, data, and commercial teams , helping R&D organisations design and scale data & AI solutions that actually get used – and deliver measurable value.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for strategic Life Sciences accounts
- Understand each customer’s scientific data, AI architecture, and roadmap
- Translate business goals into scalable technical architectures and implementation plans
- Lead lifecycle engagement from presales through delivery and ongoing optimisation
- Run technical reviews , spot risks early, and recommend improvements
- Support expansions, POCs, and co-innovation with Sales and Product
- Deliver tailored demos and enablement sessions to scientists, R&D IT, and leadership
- Work with partners such as Databricks, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure to maximise value

What You Bring
Background
- Scientific background and 5+ years’ experience in Life Sciences (pharma, biotech, CRO, etc.)
- 5+ years as a Senior Technical / Solutions / Data Architect/ Field Applications Specialist
- Experience with R&D IT, Data & Informatics , or scientific data platforms
- Proven customer-facing / sales engineering / technical account experience
Technical
- Strong data modelling (logical, physical, conceptual)
- Python and cloud databases: Snowflake , Redshift, Databricks, NoSQL
- Big data / lakehouse tools (e.g. Spark)
- Cloud : AWS (data services), plus Azure / GCP exposure
- Data governance & quality (lineage, metadata, data quality processes)
- Analytics & BI : Tableau, Power BI, QlikView and their backend needs
Commercial & Soft Skills
- Comfortable with senior scientific and technical stakeholders
- Strong at solution mapping , value/ROI framing, and negotiation
- Clear communicator, confident presenter, strong relationship builder
