Technical 3D Artist Company: Envisage Recruitment Ltd.
Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire (Hybrid: Typically 3 days on-site,)

Pay Rate: £35.58 per hour (Gross, Umbrella / Inside IR35 status to be confirmed via CEST)

About the Role:
Envisage is seeking an experienced, highly technical 3D Artist to bridge the gap between creative design vision and software implementation. In this role, you will act as the critical conduit between our software development and design teams, translating high-level design concepts into optimized, working 3D models ready for real-time deployment in our luxury vehicles. You must possess the rare balance of elite creative artistry and a deep technical understanding of real-time asset limitations, rigging, and engine optimization.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Convert complex design visions into functional, fully developed 3D models optimized for seamless software implementation.
  • Act as the primary technical and creative go-between for software engineering and creative design teams to realize visions without compromising technical accuracy.
  • Build high-fidelity 3D assets suitable for real-time animation, interactive usage, and high-polished visual renders across multiple platforms.
  • Execute clean UV mapping, texture baking, custom shader creation, and asset rigging to prepare models for dynamic real-time engines.
  • Manage and debug file exports, specifically working with .gltf pipelines and engine compliance.
Required Skills & Technical Keywords:
  • Expert proficiency in one or more industry-standard tools: Blender, 3DS Max, Maya, or Unreal Engine.
  • Strong competency in rendering software such as VRED or V-Ray.
  • Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, etc.
  • Deep understanding of the technical fundamentals, limitations, and performance budgets of game engines; ability to optimize models without losing aesthetic fidelity.
  • Competent in rigging architectures and animating complex 3D assets.
  • Solid understanding of Visual Effects (VFX) principles and custom shader development.
  • Familiarity with modern file formats, troubleshooting workflows (specifically .gltf), and asset pipelines.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Proven track record working within a games developer studio or a high-end 3D production house.
  • Specific experience creating complex products or vehicles is highly desirable.
  • A diverse, high-quality portfolio demonstrating your asset pipeline methods, wireframes, optimized geometry, and final renders is mandatory.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent industry experience in a related field (e.g., Digital Design, Game Art, 3D Animation).
