Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Microsoft IT Trainer to support a large-scale technology adoption programme, designing and delivering engaging Microsoft Copilot and AI-focused learning to a varied user base.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging virtual training, workshops and demonstrations for audiences ranging from individual business teams to large employee groups and senior stakeholders.
- Develop and refine role-focused learning materials that demonstrate practical applications of Microsoft Copilot within everyday working environments.
- Work with programme stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand learning requirements and translate these into effective training experiences.
- Create practical exercises, demonstrations, facilitator materials and supporting learning resources that encourage effective adoption of new technology.
- Tailor training approaches to suit different business functions, levels of technical knowledge and levels of familiarity with AI-enabled tools.
- Use practical business scenarios to demonstrate how Microsoft Copilot and Generative AI can support productivity and new ways of working.
- Gather feedback from training participants and stakeholders, using insights to continuously enhance learning content and delivery methods.
- Act as a knowledgeable point of contact during training, confidently addressing questions and helping users understand how AI tools can be applied within their roles.
Experience Required
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in IT training, learning and development, technology enablement or a closely related position.
- Demonstrable experience delivering professional virtual training to both small groups and large audiences.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Generative AI concepts and their practical application within a business environment.
- Previous experience developing or contributing to tailored, role-based learning programmes.
- Excellent presentation, communication and facilitation skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
- Ability to simplify technical subject matter and communicate it in clear, practical and business-relevant terms.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholder groups within a complex or large-scale working environment.
- Strong virtual facilitation skills with the ability to encourage participation, respond effectively to questions and adjust delivery according to audience needs.
Desirable Skills
- Microsoft certifications relating to Microsoft 365, Copilot, Modern Workplace or associated technologies.
- Previous involvement in large-scale technology adoption or workforce enablement initiatives.
- Knowledge of change management and digital adoption methodologies.
- Experience supporting AI or emerging technology transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles.
- Experience creating scenario-led and task-focused technology training.
- Ability to support behavioural change and encourage adoption of new digital tools.
Educational Requirements
- A third-level qualification in Information Technology, Learning & Development, Education, Business or a related discipline would be beneficial.
- Relevant Microsoft or professional training certifications would be advantageous.
