ABOUT THE ROLE
EPAM is seeking a technically hands-on Senior Solution Architect with strong Card Payments experience to work with a major banking client in London. The role involves modernizing the bank's Cards Payments Infrastructure, focusing on ATM networks and card payment systems, requiring deep expertise in payment systems, ATM technology, and scalable, secure solution design.
The architect will lead the design, integration, and security of payment systems, collaborate with stakeholders, and stay updated on industry trends to recommend technological improvements.
- Lead architectural design for the bank’s UK Cards Payments Infrastructure, focusing on ATM and card payment systems.
- Define architectural standards, ensure designs meet scalability, performance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Guide development teams, oversee system integrations, and collaborate with security teams to ensure robust security measures.
- Engage with business stakeholders to translate goals into technical solutions and communicate architectural decisions effectively.
- Participate in vendor selection, ensuring third-party solutions align with architectural standards.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies to enhance system efficiency, security, and customer experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or relevant experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience as a Solution Architect in cards payments infrastructure, including ATM technology.
- Proven ability to design and implement large-scale IT systems in banking/financial services.
- Knowledge of architectural frameworks, design patterns, and modern development practices.
- Understanding of security principles and compliance in financial transactions.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
