Job summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our Digital Team. This role is part of a Team who are responsible for providing at the elbow support for our users.
We are looking for individuals with good communication skills and a keen eye for detail. The post holder will be required to work independently and within a team. Knowledge of the systems already in use at the Trust such as Cerner (iCLIP Pro) is essential.
As an organisation, the Trust has just rollout of a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system. This is your chance to be part of the digital change, ensuring the safe and effective use of applications.
Main duties of the job
To help with all aspects of Champion User activity, including;
Demonstrating a commitment towards the development of professional and clinical practice (self and others).
Providing at-the-elbow support to users with Cerner applications and keeping skills/knowledge in this area up-to-date.
Working collaboratively with professional groups, projects team, and Business As Usual.
Support code upgrades/downtimes
Help (with CU Manager/Senior CU Leads) ensure appropriate records are kept of Clinical Champion User activity (e.g. via HEAT portal)
Help (with CU Manager/Senior CU Leads) ensure appropriate records are kept of equipment deployed by Clinical Champion Users.

Job responsibilities
1. Contribute to the creation of an environment in which change can be initiated and supported.
2. Support the Clinical Champion Users manager and Clinical Champion User Senior Leads to provide leadership and support to Clinical Champion Users to ensure that the highest standards of patient care are maintained.
3. To provide at-the-elbow support to clinical staff during Clinical systems roll out.
4. To conduct Awareness Sessions to users of Clinical Systems prior system roll out or as necessary.
5. Provide information to the organisation and others (external, for instance, Cerner)
Person Specification
Qualifications
- 5 GCSE
- oIT related qualification.
Experience
- Clinical experience in an acute hospital environment.
- Experience of IT applications in a working environment.
- Experience of Cerner solutions
Skills
- IT skills -, Microsoft Office packages, etc
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Decision-making skills
- Ability to mediate in difficult situations.
Knowledge
- Basic knowledge in any area of clinical practice
