Power BI Analyst

Salary: Circa £65,000

Contract: 6 month Fixed‐term (with potential extension)
A leading private wealth business is seeking an experienced Power BI Analyst to join its Business Solutions & Data Analytics (BSDA) team on a 6‐month fixed‐term contract.
This role will support the ongoing development of the firm’s Data Warehouse framework and play a key part in expanding data insights across the organisation.
You’ll work closely with the Data Solutions Manager and senior stakeholders across Operations, Risk & Compliance, Projects, and Front Office teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands‐on Power BI capability, solid SQL skills, and proven experience within private wealth or wider financial services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop advanced Power BI dashboards and reports, including SQL‐based data models.
- Support and coordinate delivery across the Data Warehouse project, ensuring priorities align with business needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into clear specifications.
- Mentor junior team members and act as a go‐to resource for Power BI and data‐related queries.
- Promote data‐driven decision‐making and work closely with BSDA, IT and Project teams.
- Contribute to building a positive, collaborative team culture.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in BI and data warehousing within financial services (private wealth strongly preferred).
- Advanced Power BI skills (DAX, Power Query, data modelling).
- Strong SQL and data transformation capability.
- Experience with CRM, portfolio management and risk monitoring systems.
- Familiarity with cloud‐based data platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non‐technical audiences.
