Fund Accountant (Venture Capital)
Equifind is partnering with a tech-focused VC investor to recruit a chartered accountant to join their team as a Fund Accountant.
Based in Mayfair, this long-established venture partner is on the brink of launching their sixth and biggest fund to date. They are in growth mode and looking for someone with a similar mindset. The new fund will focus on investing in European and North American healthtech companies at the Pre-Seed, Seed, Series A, and Series B stages.
Reporting to the Finance Director, this newly created position will directly contribute to the overall success of the business and play an integral role in managing the activities of the Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the budgeting process for the LLP business, providing a detailed analysis of income streams from all funds and forecasting tax liabilities, drawings, and other key financial components.
- Manage relationships with outsourced accountants, including reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, month-end closings, and supplier invoices.
- Lead the efficient execution of LP distributions, drawdowns, and quarterly LP reporting processes.
- Support the team in implementing and enhancing finance systems, including testing and process development to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with portfolio company CFOs and investors on budget management, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Take full ownership of cash management and forecasting to ensure effective financial oversight.
- Assist with FCA and SEC reporting submissions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Application Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- At least 3 years of experience in an accounting or audit function.
- Experience of working with financial services organisations, ideally venture capital or private equity.
- Advanced-level Excel skills and an interest in learning SQL, VBA or Python.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent report writing and able to confidently liaise with a range of stakeholders.
- Proven stakeholder management experience and relationship building skills.
