Trainee Service Engineer (Electrical) £30,000 - £33,000 (OTE £40K) + Full Training on High Voltage + National Grid Projects Glasgow, Covering UK

Are you a Junior or Aspiring Service Engineer from an Electrical background looking to move into the high-voltage Power Generation & Distribution sector whilst receiving funded training to become a full qualified High Voltage Technician?

Do you want to work for a business on the cutting-edge of technology and work away from home often at National Grid sites all across the UK?

In this role you will be trained to become a Service Engineer, authorised to work on High Voltage electricity distribution sites across the UK. You will be working away frequently, normally 2 weeks out of a month, being paid a £70 bonus per day. You'll be trained by National Grid themselves, gaining authorisation in several steps to become a fully qualified Engineer.This company have built a profitable niche within monitoring equipment used to prevent and detect anomalies across the UK's electrical distribution Network. You will be servicing, maintaining and installing this specialist equipment across the UK.This role would suit a Junior or Aspiring Service Engineer from an Electrical background (HNC, SQF, NVQ etc) with some hands-on electrical experience looking to become a technical expert in High Voltage equipment and work all across the UK, often away from home.The Role:

• Attending High Voltage electricity distribution sites across the UK
• Training from a Glasgow based Office and on-site with the National Grid
• Structured progression to become a profession, fully certified Electrical Engineer
• Working away from home 50% of the time
• Great bonus (£70 Per Day) for staying-away

The Person:

• Junior or Aspiring Service Engineer
• Electrical background (HNC, HND, 18th Edition, SQF or NVQ)
• Happy working away from home 50% of the year
