Product Owner - Digital Software
A Product Owner is required to join a Digital Software team working within a busy and well-respected organisation with Head Offices in Kettering and further sites overseas. The company specialise in providing test and research services to a worldwide customer base. This is a full time, permanent vacancy working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
The successful candidate will be working within Digital Software to support the project teams and 3rd party agency to perform high quality IT Business Analysis across all phases of the application/project lifecycle, using cross functional knowledge to demonstrate a clear capability to add value across the company. Owning the direction and features of key business applications for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Digital team. Build relationships with the business and support the business with initiatives. Support the company to maintain a consistent approach to product delivery across the business.
• Be a product owner for critical applications. Steer the development and functionality whilst gathering information from key business stakeholders. Maintain the plan, build and run methodology ensuring the product is adhering to the latest trends.
• Communicate clearly with customers. Digital and customer orientated and provide a world class service to business users.
• Produce Business Requirements and Specifications. Gather business requirements. Undertake and write up interviews. Facilitate and participate in workshops and write up notes. Produce and issue all documents associated with these activities. Submit Business Requirements Specification for consideration as part of the project. Present Business Requirements to the appropriate level of business owner.
• Develop a thorough understanding of company departments. Understand the functionality contained within existing systems. Understand the impact of any proposed changes on associated functions/processes. In conjunction with the business, develop and document the as-is and to-be business processes. Prepare proposals to be submitted for consideration as part of the project process.
• Present proposals and recommendations to the appropriate level of business stakeholder in their respected areas.
• Produce Feasibility Study reports to the required format and quality. Submit these for consideration as part of the project process.
• Produce a gap analysis to understand the functionality contained within new systems and compare with that required by users or contained within existing systems which will be re-platformed. Document all gaps and assign a level of priority to them. Compare Solution Design Documents against requirements.
• Manage the User Acceptance Test activity. Prepare UAT Plans in conjunction with the business/Users and support the business/Users in the completion of these tests.
• Support the User Training activity. Assist with the preparation of training materials. Provide support for rollout of new systems and functionality with the business and our members.
• Coordinate projects and resources to effectively and efficiently achieve the agreed
deliverables by utilising the full suite of tools, methods and control processes that support the project.

Essential:
• Sound knowledge of current and emerging analytical techniques
• Several years’ experience of change management/business in a modern commercial environment
• Good communication, oral and written
• Analytical, structured, logical, broad thinking
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages and VISIO
• Experience in digital solutions, cloud computing, web, CMS and API technology
• BA Diploma modules
Desirable:
• Prince2 Project Management
• Agile working experience (SCRUM)
• AWS, AZURE experience
