Full time hours on a temporary basis

  • Key Responsibilities Database Development & Administration
    • Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of corporate database solutions.
    • Manage and administer Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, and other relational database systems.
    • Develop and maintain data architectures, including data warehouses, data lakes, metadata structures, and integration frameworks.
    • Design and implement complex ETL processes and data flows between operational systems and analytics platforms.
    • Ensure database performance, security, resilience, and compliance with organisational standards.
    • Monitor database environments and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

    Business Intelligence & Analytics

    • Develop and support enterprise business intelligence solutions, dashboards, reports, and analytics tools.
    • Create and maintain complex reports using business intelligence and reporting platforms.
    • Enable effective reporting and data analysis from multiple internal and third-party data sources.
    • Support business users in maximising the use of analytics to improve operational performance and decision-making.
    • Research emerging BI and analytics technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate requirements into technical solutions.
    • Provide expert advice regarding data management, reporting, and analytics capabilities.
    • Build positive relationships with service managers, project teams, suppliers, and external partners.
    • Support project planning activities by providing technical estimates, timelines, and resource requirements.

    Support, Training & Documentation

    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database and reporting solutions.
    • Deliver training and guidance to end users and super users.
    • Produce clear technical documentation, support materials, user guides, and operational procedures.
    • Promote data literacy and best-practice use of corporate data systems across the organisation.

    Leadership & Development

    • Mentor and support Database and Analytics Developers within the team.
    • Assist in career development planning and coaching activities.
    • Contribute to the development of standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Support the Software Development Manager in delivering departmental objectives and projects.
