Information & Performance Assistant
Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill an Information and Performance Assistant post based within the Business Analysis and Reporting team. The post holder will be responsible for:
- Producing performance and quality reports from multiple work streams
- Running and maintaining routine reports
- Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc data requests
It is essential that the successful candidate lives within commutable distance to the Trust Head Office/Base.
Main duties of the job
Under the direction of the Information and Performance Analyst the post holder will play a key role within the Business Analysis and Reporting Directorate in achieving its objectives through the provision of quality information and the ongoing development of reporting systems to support Clinicians and Mangers in meeting the objectives of the Trust.
The post holder will be a skilled specialist who will be a key analysis, interpretation and provision of high quality statistical and management information to support the business requirements and performance monitoring in the Trust.
The post holder will be involved with the development of processes for the collection, maintenance and reporting of data including that relating to Board Reports, Local Authority Frameworks, Commissioners Reports and Performance Dashboards.
This role will work closely with a range of health professionals including Directors, Ward Managers, Team Leaders and administration staff.

Person Specification
Education/Qualifications
- Educated to A Level standard or equivalent in a numerate subject, OR IT Diploma, OR at least 3 years in NHS Informatics
- Diploma level in IM & T or equivalent experience in relevant area
- Evidence of continued professional development
Knowledge
- Knowledge and experience of information flows in the NHS
- Knowledge of statistical analysis methods
- Specific knowledge of Information flows within Mental Health
Skills/Experience
- Literate in IT/Computer skills
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to manipulate complex data using MS Office software, including Excel and Access
- Able to work independently and use own initiative
- Experience of query writing in SQL
- Experience with MH data or MH patient administration systems
