Interim Product Leader - Consumer Electronics

We're seeking an experienced Interim Product Leader - Consumer Electronics to lead the development and delivery of an innovative hardware product roadmap within a fast-growing consumer technology business backed by private equity. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of connected products in an industry undergoing rapid digital transformation.

This will be a full time 9-12 month contract, hybrid working with office located on the M4 corridor.

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you'll own the end-to-end consumer electronics strategy, from product vision and roadmap creation through to development, launch, and commercial success. You'll be responsible for building a high-performing team and delivering a pipeline of category-defining products that combine hardware, software, and digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and deliver a rolling 3-year product roadmap
• Lead product ideation, requirements definition, design and development
• Manage product launches, budgets, timelines and stakeholder engagement
• Build and develop an internal product capability and external partner network
• Drive innovation, technology scouting and IP strategy
• Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations and finance

About You

• Proven track record developing and launching consumer electronics products at scale
• Strong experience across hardware, embedded systems and connected products
• Strategic product leader with a passion for innovation and customer experience
• Experienced building and leading high-performing teams
• Commercially minded with the ability to deliver margin-enhancing products
• Excellent communicator, able to influence at executive and board level
