I am currently working with one of the world's leading gaming companies. They are currently seeking Dutch, Danish, Czech and Arabic speaking proofreaders/localizers to help adapt their games for international markets. You will ensure that in-game text, dialogue, and cultural references resonate authentically with target audiences while maintaining the original tone, style, and intent.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate and localize in-game text, UI, scripts, and marketing materials
- Adapt cultural references, humour, and idioms appropriately for target regions
- Collaborate with writers, developers, and QA teams to ensure linguistic quality
- Maintain consistency with terminology and style guides
- Review and edit localized content to ensure accuracy and fluency
- Identify and report localization bugs or issues in-game
Requirements
- Rights to work in Spain
- Native-level fluency in either Dutch, Danish, Czech, or Arabic and strong proficiency in English
- Excellent attention to detail and cultural awareness
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Nice to Have
- Some experience in either translation, proofreading, localizing.
- Interest in gaming.
- Knowledge of gaming terminology and trends would be beneficial.
- Detail-oriented and able to work efficiently under tight deadlines
