What we’re looking for
We’re seeking a Cyber & Network Security Operations Manager to take senior operational ownership of our cyber security and network security capability. This role is accountable for day‐to‐day security operations, senior incident management, and governance across SOC, cyber security, and network security functions.
This is a leadership and assurance role, not a hands‐on engineering position. You’ll focus on ensuring high‐quality operational delivery, managing major cyber and network incidents, embedding security controls, and providing clear visibility of risk to the business.
You’ll lead multiple specialist teams, work closely with senior stakeholders, and ensure our security posture supports a 24×7 operational environment across on‐premise, data centre, and cloud platforms
As a Cyber & Network Security Operations Manager, you will:
- Lead delivery of SOC services, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response
- Act as senior escalation for cyber incidents, network security events, and major outages
- Ensure structured incident management, root cause analysis, and stakeholder communication
- Provide operational oversight of network and infrastructure security across on‐prem, data centre, and cloud environments
- Embed security controls into architecture, change, and operational processes
- Balance security, resilience, performance, and availability in a 24×7 environment
- Lead and develop SOC, Cyber Security, and Network Security teams and their managers
- Own operational cyber and network security risk management
- Support audits, customer security reviews, and ISO‐aligned compliance activity
- Manage third‐party security and network service providers and ensure service quality

What you’ll bring:
- Proven leadership experience managing SOC, cyber operations, or network security at manager or senior manager level
- Strong experience leading cyber incident response end‐to‐end, including senior escalation
- Direct line management experience, including performance reviews and people development
- Solid understanding of enterprise network architectures (LAN, WAN, firewalls, segmentation, VPNs, cloud networking)
- Familiarity with security tooling such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and threat detection platforms
- Working knowledge of ISO 27001 or similar frameworks (e.g. NIST CSF, CIS Controls)
- Experience managing third‐party security or managed service providers
- Ability to communicate clearly with senior and non‐technical stakeholders
- Calm, decisive leadership style, particularly during live incidents
- Strong governance, risk, and operational reporting mindset
- Pragmatic approach to balancing security with business and operational needs
- Collaborative attitude with the confidence to hold teams and suppliers to account
