Full Stack Engineer
I’m partnering with an ambitious industrial technology startup focused on rebuilding advanced manufacturing capacity in the West. The company is developing a network of distributed, software-defined factories designed to help hardware companies iterate faster and scale production efficiently.
They are now hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to help build and scale their proprietary factory operating system, the core software platform that powers factory automation, operational intelligence, and production orchestration across their network of facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and develop critical systems supporting factory automation, real-time data processing, and operational workflows.
- Own full-stack development across infrastructure, backend services, frontend interfaces, and monitoring tools.
- Work closely with leadership and factory-floor teams to identify operational bottlenecks and translate them into impactful software solutions.
- Deploy and iterate on software rapidly, working closely with manufacturing operations to directly control and optimize production.
- Lead projects from concept through deployment, ensuring systems are reliable and fault-tolerant in high-stakes industrial environments.
- Build systems that optimize machine utilization and orchestrate production across a distributed network of factories.
Key Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience (exceptions made for exceptional candidates).
- Experience working as a founder, founding engineer, or early employee at a fast-paced startup, or engineering experience at a top-tier VC-backed technology company.
- Background in aerospace, defense, or other high-performance engineering organizations is advantageous.
- Experience building frontend-heavy SaaS applications with strong attention to UX.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, React, Postgres, and AWS.
- Strong generalist mindset with the ability to work across the stack and operate independently in high-autonomy environments.
- Deep motivation to contribute to the rebuilding and onshoring of advanced manufacturing capability.
