As a Research Engineer, you'll work on advanced machine learning technologies including large language models, reinforcement learning, optimisation, and generative AI, helping shape future semiconductor design and AI systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement and evaluate novel machine learning algorithms and AI research concepts.
- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept systems to support research initiatives.
- Collaborate with researchers to translate theoretical ideas into practical software solutions.
- Build and enhance research infrastructure, experimentation pipelines, and internal tooling.
- Analyse experimental results and contribute to technical reports and documentation.
- Stay informed of emerging AI research and recommend new approaches where appropriate.
Required Experience & Skills
- MSc with 5+ years exp. or PhD with 2+ years exp. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related discipline
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Reinforcement Learning, optimisation techniques, or generative AI.
- Experience developing research infrastructure or ML tooling.
- Knowledge of distributed training, GPU computing, or CUDA.
- Exposure to semiconductor technologies, chip design, or applied AI research.
- Commercial or research experience implementing machine learning algorithms.
- Strong programming skills in Python; C++ experience is advantageous.
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or similar deep learning frameworks.
