Our client is a leading organisation in the events and venue sector, and they’re seeking an Analytics Engineer to strengthen their data infrastructure and drive data-led decision-making across their business.This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies on Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and DBT, while collaborating closely with commercial and operational teams to unlock insights that directly impact performance and growth.Key Responsibilities
- Data Infrastructure Development – Build, maintain, and optimise scalable, reliable data ingestion pipelines on Microsoft Azure.
- Data Transformation & Modelling – Deliver modular, maintainable data models using DBT, ensuring alignment with analytics and business needs.
- Programming & Analytics – Leverage Python for automation, ETL, data validation, and integrating data from multiple sources.
- Quality & Performance – Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and efficiency, while optimising pipelines for cost and SLA performance.
- Collaboration – Work with stakeholders across analytics, marketing, operations, and leadership to translate challenges into effective data solutions, including dashboards and reporting frameworks.
- Proven experience building scalable data pipelines on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of data warehousing best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric.
- Proficiency with DBT for data modelling and transformation.
- Strong Python skills for ETL and data manipulation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Azure, Databricks, or equivalent certifications.
- Experience in event, venue, or high-capacity performance data.
- Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
