The Head of IT Architecture and Design plays a key role in structuring the enterprise in terms of its business, data, application, and technical architectures. You will align strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding products and services, partners and suppliers, organisation, capabilities, and key business and IT initiatives. The primary focuses are Strategic Framework and Digital Strategy, business operations, data governance and technical frameworks and related processes that link these aspects of the enterprise together. The Head of IT Architecture & Design works to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques.About the Company: They are a large-scale organisation, based in over 300 buildings locally, and internationally and with approx. 30,000 unique users for IT. and a complex structure which means you will be liaising with a wide-variety of stakeholders. - Knowledge of Service Orientated Architecture and associated frameworks (TOGAF) and hold Togaf 9.2 Foundation (or be working towards full certification)
- Experience of managing large multi-disciplined teams including direct line management and have the ability to lead and motivate staff
- Experience of working in a large, challenging multi-site environment
- Experience of running an Architecture function
- Ideally you may also hold a certified Project Management qualification, (eg. PRINCE2) and / or ITIL V3 or V4 Foundation (this is desirable but not essential)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate and influence others
- You will also have experience in budget management
