Data Scientist

Data plays a critical role in accelerating product development, improving decision-making and unlocking deeper insight into complex experimental programmes. As the Data Scientist, you will help build the data foundations that support the development of next-generation energy storage technologies, transforming raw experimental data into meaningful insights, visualisations and scalable analytical workflows.
 
The Data Scientist will:

• Develop tools and workflows to automate the extraction, processing and analysis of experimental data.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, databases and analytical frameworks.
• Generate meaningful features, visualisations and reports from complex datasets.
• Apply statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to support product development decisions.
• Present insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Develop scripts, tools and automation solutions to improve business efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to enhance existing data methodologies and accelerate development cycles.

 
The Data Scientist will have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong programming skills for data analysis and workflow development, ideally including Python.
• Experience building data pipelines and working with complex datasets.
• Strong data visualisation and communication skills.
• Experience applying statistical methods and/or machine learning techniques.
• Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
