Capacity Manager - Must be DV cleared - on site in Wiltshire - paying up to £600 per day inside IR35 - 6 months initially
  
Exalto consulting are currently recruiting for a contract IT Capacity Manager responsible for ensuring that VMware-based infrastructure capacity meets current and future business needs in a cost-effective, reliable, and scalable manner. The role applies ITIL capacity management practices to proactively plan, monitor, analyse, and optimie compute, storage, and network resources across on premise and hybrid VMware environments.
  
Key Duties:

• Own and execute the ITIL Capacity Management process, including Business, Service, and Component Capacity Management.
• Develop and maintain capacity plans, forecasts, and models for VMware environments.
• Ensure infrastructure capacity supports agreed SLAs
• Identify capacity risks, constraints, and performance bottlenecks before they impact services.
• Produce regular capacity and utilization reports, dashboards, and trend analyses.
• Support hardware refresh, expansion, and decommissioning decisions.

  
Required Competencies:

• Strong experience managing capacity
• Experience with capacity and monitoring tools (e.g., vRealize Operations or similar
• Strong understanding of ITIL 4 practices and service lifecycle concepts
• Experience working with Change, Incident, Problem, and Service Design processes
