Senior E-Commerce Full Stack (Application Support) Engineer - Bradford

Senior E-Commerce Full Stack (Application Support) Engineer
Location: West Yorkshire / Bradford (Hybrid)

We’re recruiting a Senior E-Commerce Full Stack (Application Support) Engineer to support and maintain high-traffic B2C e-commerce websites.

This is a support focused engineering role, suited to someone who enjoys owning live systems, resolving production issues, and making practical improvements that directly impact customer experience and platform stability.

The role

You’ll be responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance and optimisation of busy e-commerce platforms. Your work will focus on:
  • Monitoring platform performance, availability and reliability
  • Diagnosing and resolving incidents, including root cause analysis
  • Supporting accurate digital analytics, tagging and data quality
  • Delivering small but meaningful enhancements across key customer journeys
You’ll work closely with engineers, UX designers, digital analysts, SEO specialists and product teams to keep applications stable, secure and fit for purpose. The role also involves supporting integrations with core SaaS, ERP and CRM systems, while ensuring compliance with UK-GDPR and PCI-DSS requirements.

This position will involve working with existing and legacy systems, with a focus on stability and incremental improvement rather than greenfield development.

Essential experience
  • Strong experience in software development and application support, with recent full-stack responsibility
  • A background supporting high-traffic, high-availability e-commerce platforms
  • Solid front-end skills using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript, including frameworks such as AngularJS or jQuery
  • Experience working with .NET or similar server-side technologies
  • Exposure to digital analytics, tagging, CRO, personalisation and technical SEO
Personal qualities
  • Calm and methodical problem-solving during live incidents
  • Clear, collaborative communication across technical and non-technical teams
  • Comfortable working under pressure with accuracy and focus
  • Pragmatic, adaptable and focused on delivering business value

What this role offers
  • A senior, hands-on application support engineering role with clear ownership of live e-commerce platforms
  • Responsibility for the stability, performance and reliability of business-critical systems
  • Close collaboration with engineering, digital, UX, analytics and product teams
  • A practical environment focused on fixing issues, improving resilience and incremental enhancement, rather than greenfield builds
