Role Purpose
Are you a problem-solver with a passion for technology and a knack for streamlining operations? Join the dynamic IT team at Premex as an Application Support Analyst, where you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our mission-critical applications and systems.
You’ll collaborate with Level 1 and 2 teams to deliver timely resolutions, tackle complex issues, and work alongside developers and support staff to drive technological excellence. Your insights will ensure that our users access reliable and secure systems—enabling smooth day-to-day operations across our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow established IT support standards and procedures
- Analyse systems to identify and implement improvements
- Collaborate on managing L1/2/3 incidents and ensure SLA adherence
- Troubleshoot application issues and determine root causes
- Perform regular system maintenance and updates
- Monitor dashboards for early issue detection
- Own and manage support cases with proactive customer communication
- Deliver thorough diagnostics and coordinate resolutions
- Escalate issues appropriately per protocol
- Maintain organised records and support knowledge sharing across the team
- Actively contribute to learning and development by staying ahead of emerging technologies
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Experience in application support within small to medium IT teams
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft .NET, SQL Server, and application lifecycle tools (e.g., Jira, DevOps)
- Familiarity with service desk tools (e.g., ServiceNow, PRTG)
- Proficiency in Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and telephony systems like 8x8
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Commitment to detail and process compliance
Desirable
- 2:1 or above in Software Engineering or related subject
- Experience in professional support environments
- Office 365 admin, Azure AD knowledge
- Awareness of database design and SQL
- Stakeholder management and working in matrix structures
