Salesforce Application Support Analyst (Glasgow)

We're working with a well-established financial services client who is looking to bring on a Salesforce Application Support Analyst to join their growing team. This is a key role within their internal tech function, responsible for maintaining and supporting their Salesforce platform — from complex issue resolution to small development tweaks and ongoing environment stability.

You’ll be acting as the go-to expert for Salesforce application support (3rd and 4th line), owning technical issues and helping ensure a smooth, optimised platform for end users. The focus is more on hands-on analysis and technical troubleshooting than project management, and you’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in light development and cloud environment support (AWS/Azure).

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day support of the Salesforce application (3rd/4th line)
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues across the Salesforce platform
  • Support the environment where Salesforce is hosted (AWS or Azure) and resolve any platform-related concerns
  • Perform light development or configuration work where needed (e.g. minor tweaks/enhancements)
  • Collaborate with third parties when necessary, but aim to resolve in-house where possible
  • Analyse common support issues and identify training needs to reduce repeat queries
  • Work within an ITIL-aligned support framework to manage incidents and service requests
  • Act as a Salesforce SME for internal teams, providing guidance and ensuring best practice is followed

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience supporting Salesforce applications in a technical or application support capacity
  • Strong troubleshooting and analysis skills, particularly at 3rd/4th line level
  • Experience working in an ITIL-driven support environment
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture and configuration
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable

  • Experience working with Salesforce in a financial services environment
  • Exposure to AWS or Azure, particularly managing environments where Salesforce is hosted
  • Salesforce development/config skills (so minor changes can be handled internally)

Why Apply?

  • Join a forward-thinking financial services firm investing in technology and transformation
  • Be the in-house Salesforce go-to, with influence and visibility across the business
  • A varied, hands-on role with room to grow your skill set
  • Flexible working and a collaborative team culture
