Assisted Technology Emergency Response Officer

We are seeking an Assisted Technology Emergency Response Officer to join our client's dynamic team!

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of enabling residents to live more independent lives within their own homes. You'll be instrumental in delivering an early intervention and prevention service, providing crucial support from initial referral through to installation, monitoring, and emergency response. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine technical skills with direct positive impact on people's daily lives.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct personalised home assessments and install a range of assistive technology equipment.

  • Administer referrals, ensuring residents are at the heart of every step.

  • Provide essential support for our out-of-hours telephone service, handling complex queries and emergency situations calmly and effectively.

  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, social care practitioners, referrers, and health professionals.

  • Drive safely to incidents, emergency call-outs, and routine visits, planning optimal routes.

  • Maintain accurate records and use various IT systems efficiently.

  • Deputise for the Team Leader as required, demonstrating leadership potential.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience delivering high-quality customer service, both face-to-face and over the phone, ideally within a complex environment.

  • The ability to make quick, calm decisions and multi-task effectively in emergency situations.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

  • A clean driving licence and confidence in driving to various locations.

  • The flexibility and willingness to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

  • Experience or a strong aptitude for installing and maintaining technology equipment.

  • Comfortable using a wide range of IT systems and adapting to new technology.

  • An Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Disclosure will be required for this post.
