BI Developer

Role Title: BI Developer
Duration: contract to run until 21/06/2026
Location: Telford, Hybrid 2 days per month onsite
Rate: £400 max pay - Umbrella only

Role purpose / summary

A Business Intelligence Developer with the following skills/experience is required to work with the Client MU's Central Business Operations Support team (CBOS).

Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to deliver robust BI solutions using Microsoft technologies.

Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, and related database technologies for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

Solution Development: Skilled in designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions, including dashboards and reports using Power BI and SSRS.

Data Integration: Proficiency in integrating data from multiple sources and ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability for business decision-making.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve data and reporting issues.

Training & Support: Track record of providing user training, documentation, and ongoing support for BI tools, dashboards, and reports.

Business Acumen: Understanding of business intelligence strategies and their application to support organisational objectives.

Other Skills/Experience:

• Power Apps and Power Automate for advanced data workflows and automation.
• Certification in Microsoft Power Platform, SQL Server, or related technologies.
• Familiarity with data modelling and data warehousing.
• Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and information security principles.
