Role Overview

We are seeking an AI Analyst with strong M&A / transaction experience to support AI‐driven analysis across the deal lifecycle. This role focuses on applying data analytics, machine learning outputs, and AI‐enabled insights to inform critical M&A decisions, from target identification through due diligence and post‐merger integration.

You will work closely with AI Engineers, data scientists, and transaction stakeholders (M&A, finance, strategy, legal) to translate complex datasets and AI outputs into clear, actionable insights for senior decision‐makers.

Key Responsibilities

• Support M&A activity through AI‐enabled analytics, including:
• Commercial, financial, and operational due diligence
• Target screening and market analysis
• Risk and anomaly identification
• Synergy and value‐creation assessment
• Analyse and interpret outputs from ML models and LLM‐based tools, ensuring insights are accurate, explainable, and decision‐ready.
• Work with structured and unstructured data sources including:
• Financial statements and management information
• Contracts, legal documents, and data room materials
• Operational and customer data
• Build analytical dashboards, reports, and executive‐level summaries for deal teams.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers to:
• Define analytical requirements
• Validate model results
• Improve data quality and feature selection
• Support post‐merger integration (PMI) analytics and performance tracking.
• Ensure insights align with governance, confidentiality, and regulatory standards relevant to transactions.

Required Experience & Skills

M&A / Transaction Experience

• Proven experience in M&A, corporate development, transaction advisory, consulting, or investment banking.
• Strong understanding of:
• Due diligence processes
• Transaction workflows and timelines
• Financial statements and deal value drivers
• Experience working under deal pressure and tight deadlines.

Analytics / AI

• Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting AI/ML outputs.
• Hands‐on experience with data analysis tools such as:
• Python, SQL, Excel
• BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts, NLP, or LLM‐based solutions (hands‐on training not required, but practical exposure expected).
• Ability to communicate complex data findings clearly to non‐technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting AI or advanced analytics projects in a transaction context.
• Background in consulting, private equity, or strategy roles.
• Exposure to data room automation, document intelligence, or contract analytics.
• Understanding of model explainability, data governance, or risk frameworks.
• Experience in post‐merger integration analysis.
