The location of the role is Paddington, London (hybrid working).
The duration of the contract is 3 months initially.
The pay rate on offer is £600 - £750 per day (inside IR35, via Umbrella agency).

Role Purpose:

The Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the restart phase of our Decoupling initiative. This role will focus ensuring clarity on scope, solution, and outcomes, and helping manage the relationship with Fashion, Clothing & Beauty (FH&B) alongside the FH&B Business Partner. The BA will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring alignment on key decisions, roadmap priorities, and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Key Business Decisions:
    • Facilitate workshops and discussions to confirm scope, solution assumptions, and target state architecture for FH&B.
    • Document and track Key Design Decisions (KDDs) impacting FH&B and cross-programme alignment.
    • Ensure traceability of ECC scope (capabilities, interfaces, data) to FH&B business outcomes and portfolios.
    • Keep alignment with Enterprise Architecture team, raising design decisions into the right forums
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management:
    • Work closely with FH&B Business Partner to manage engagement with FH&B leadership and operational teams.
    • Consolidate decision logs and highlight open decisions requiring FH&B input.
    • Support alignment on business outcomes and priorities for FH&B within the Decoupling roadmap.
  • Analysis & Documentation:
    • Validate ECC functional and technical scope relevant to FH&B.
  • Roadmap & Resource Planning:
    • Support development of high-level sequencing and roadmap for FH&B decoupling activities.
    • Contribute to resource planning by identifying FH&B SME requirements and dependencies.
  • Governance & Reporting:
    • Provide input into governance forums, ensuring FH&B considerations are represented.
    • Prepare status updates, decision summaries, and risk/issue logs for FH&B-related activities.

Skills & Experience:

  • Retail industry experience strongly preferred
  • Strong experience as a Business Analyst in large-scale ERP or data transformation programmes.
  • Knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments, with understanding of decoupling and master data principles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior business leaders.
  • Ability to document complex decisions, processes, and architectures clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with governance processes and programme delivery frameworks.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Fashion, Home & Beauty (FH&B) or retail domain.
  • Understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) strategies and tools.
  • Exposure to federated delivery models and cross-programme alignment.
