Role purpose / summary

The Data Cloud program is already running, they need a Data Engineer to assist with integration and rollout. The two new senior members of the team will be leading the team in the project who are mostly working offshore.

  • Designing, developing, and deploying scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based applications on Google Cloud Platform overseeing company's Google Cloud initiatives
    collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design and implement solutions that leverage GCP's suite of services
  • Optimizing application performance, ensuring security, and contributing to the overall success of cloud-based projects.
  • Responsible for migration to Google Data Cloud or implementing data solutions using Google Data Cloud services.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to cloud-based applications.
    Implementing best practices for cloud architecture, continuous integration, and Deployment

Key Skills/ requirements

  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with GCP services i.e., DataProc Cloud Storage, Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Composer, Big Query, etc.
    Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Go, and familiarity with cloud-native languages.
  • Understanding of cloud architecture principles, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
    Experience with DevOps practices, automation tools, and implementing continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, identity and access management, and compliance standards on GCP.
  • Proficient in Cloud computing, data management and Cloud security knowledge
  • Must possess exceptional coding and Scripting Skill
  • Possesses container knowledge and Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools and CLI
  • Experience in testing and debugging, Risk Assessment
  • Must be comfortable in collaborating and communicating with Team and Stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and business requirements in a fast-paced environment.
