Role Overview
We are seeking a highly capable IT Engineer with deep subject matter expertise in Rubrik data protection technologies. The successful candidate will take ownership of the end to end backup and recovery lifecycle across our on premises infrastructure, Microsoft Azure footprint, and Office 365 workloads.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic and operational delivery
* Lead the configuration, optimisation, and administration of Rubrik clusters across hybrid environments.
* Ensure comprehensive backup coverage for physical servers, virtualised platforms, Azure workloads, and Office 365 tenants.
* Conduct regular resilience reviews and steer corrective actions.
* Own backup policies, SLAs, retention schedules, immutability controls, and compliance frameworks.
Operational excellence
* Perform routine health checks, troubleshooting, and remediation.
* Respond to backup and restore incidents and complete root cause analysis.
* Oversee patching, upgrades, and feature enablement.
* Maintain documentation of backup architectures and DR processes.
Stakeholder engagement
* Collaborate with Cloud, Infrastructure, and Cyber Security teams.
* Support audits, projects, and initiatives requiring backup expertise.
* Communicate technical information clearly.
Essential Skills
* Proven Rubrik experience.
* Strong understanding of hybrid infrastructure.
* Experience protecting Azure and Office 365 workloads through Rubrik.
* Strong troubleshooting ability and governance understanding.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with other enterprise backup suites.
