Role Overview

We are seeking a Lead Product Manager to drive the development and evolution of a data-driven reporting portal within a retail environment. This role will play a critical part in shaping how data is delivered, consumed, and leveraged by both internal business users and external supplier partners.

As a senior product leader, you will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for reporting and insights capabilities, ensuring the platform delivers meaningful, actionable intelligence that supports data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Own and define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the reporting portal.
  • Bring clarity to the future direction of reporting, analytics, and data capabilities.
  • Align the product roadmap with broader business goals and the enterprise data strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance value through data insights and reporting innovation.

Data & Reporting Leadership

  • Champion a data-first approach, ensuring reporting and insights are central to product development.
  • Work closely with data teams to define metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
  • Drive improvements in how data is structured, visualised, and delivered to users.
  • Ensure reporting outputs are intuitive, scalable, and aligned with user needs.

Product Delivery & Execution

  • Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, data, UX, stakeholders) to deliver product enhancements.
  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery through to delivery and optimisation.
  • Prioritise backlog based on business value, user needs, and data insights.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of embedded reports within the platform.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders across commercial, operations, and supplier-facing teams.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers to understand their reporting needs and improve platform usability.
  • Communicate product vision, roadmap, and progress effectively at all levels.

User Experience & Insights

  • Drive improvements in how users access and interact with reporting within the portal.
  • Leverage user feedback, analytics, and behavioural data to continuously refine the experience.
  • Ensure insights are easily accessible and support data-driven decision-making.

Key Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager / Lead Product Manager in a data-heavy or reporting-focused environment.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Data analytics and reporting tools
  • Data-driven decision-making principles
  • Metrics, KPI frameworks, and dashboards
  • Experience delivering data platforms, reporting portals, or insight-driven products.
  • Ability to define and execute product strategy and roadmaps.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within the retail sector (highly preferred).
  • Familiarity with supplier / partner-facing platforms.
  • Knowledge of data architecture, BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and data pipelines.
  • Experience working in agile product environments.
