Job Title: Middleware Platform ITSM Lead
Location: London, Hybrid - 1-2 days per week in office
Duration: Until 31 December 2025
Rate: £400 per day - PAYE via Umbrella only

Job description:
Requirement of a service delivery infrastructure lead, who will be responsible for working with our managed service partner to deliver the following important responsibilities. These are my high-level thoughts and not limited to just these activities :

• MW / DB estate is patched timely and kept current always
• Plans to remediate EOL timely
• Vulnerability remediation - Critical/ Zero day included
• Ensure MW and DB platforms are built as per QBE standards
• Projects related to the platforms are delivered on time and within budget
• Hold managed service provider accountable for their deliveries and ensure that the deliveries are as per the SLAs
• Maintains the security, confidentiality, and integrity of platforms through compliance and within the security framework designed with in QBE
• Provide leadership to the engineering team
• Manage a performance-based culture and work collaboratively with the managed service partner whilst ensuring that the service provide is held accountable for their deliveries
• Coach and mentor the team where required
• Provide technical guidance to the team on the platforms as required
• Find opportunities to improve even if the activity is small
• Look at opportunities to automate the processes
• Has Service focus and problem-solving capability
• Strong verbal and written communication capability
• Develop and maintain relationship with various other QBE teams such as security, Application teams, architecture team, technical assurance team etc

• Middleware - Timcat, Weblogic, Wildfly, Websphere,
• DBs - SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Oracle
• Loadbalancer - Citrix Netscaler
• Secure file transfer capability - Globalscape
