Senior Dev Ops Engineer - Outside IR35

Outside IR35, Azure Dev Ops Engineer, Hybrid, AKS, ACR, ACR,ACI, APIM, CI/CD, Containerisation. AWS

My leading client is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Azure and experience on AWS to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable cloud infrastructure. You'll be instrumental in driving containerization initiatives, enabling CI/CD pipelines, and embedding security best practices across platforms.

This is a hands-on technical role with a strong emphasis on mentorship, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You'll also contribute to team capability growth through knowledge sharing and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Work on Azure container platforms using:
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Azure Container Registry (ACR)
• Azure Container Instances (ACI)
• Azure App Services
• Azure API Management (APIM)
• Lead migration of legacy applications to containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (CircleCI experience a plus)
• Implement container security: ACR scanning, Pod Security Standards, AKS network policies
• Manage AKS cluster operations: upgrades, node pools, auto-scaling
• Ensure compliance with IAM, PIM, RBAC policies
• Respond to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and maintain runbooks
• Chair/attend relevant committees and uphold infection prevention responsibilities

Skills & Qualifications

• Cloud Expertise: Proven experience with Azure and AWS
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or Solutions Architect (AZ-305) AWS Accediations.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Hands-on with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins
• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400)
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, AKS cluster management
• Azure Kubernetes Service Specialist certification (or equivalent) preferred
• Security & Compliance: Strong grasp of cloud security, IAM, governance frameworks
• Monitoring & Secrets Management: Azure Monitor, Key Vault, Azure Policy
• Collaboration: Excellent communicator with a passion for mentoring and documentation
