Structural Calculation Engineer (Civil Engineering)

Location: Bristol - Hybrid

Job Description:

Perform structural calculations and Finite Element modelling using ANSYS APDL or similar advanced software and tools, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards such as Eurocode and ETC-C.
or
Proficiency in using structural analysis software, such as ANSYS, SAP2000, or similar tools.
Familiarity with structural analysis Finite Element software, such as ANSYS APDL, Robot or similar tools.

Either position the role at a more senior level (5-10+ years) if the full scope is required, or
implify the technical requirements to better match a 3-5-year profile.
3-5 years of experience would be enough, it fits the CLIENT'S requirements

Hybrid working (2 days from home).
With a background of working within the nuclear industry or another highly heavy industry sector.
For example, the Commercial or Residential sectors would not be relevant to us. Bridges either.

• Perform structural calculations and Finite Element modelling using ANSYS APDL or similar advanced software and tools, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards such as Eurocode and ETC-C,
• Soil-structure interaction analysis and seismic calculations,
• Modelling using ANSYS APDL,
• Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and construction documentation for the reinforced concrete structures,
• Experience carrying out advanced analysis on RC structures,
• Drafting calculation notes,
• Reviewing technical documents,
• On-site reinforced concrete checks.
  
  Profile:
• At least 3-5 years of experience in Civil Work.
• Strong understanding of seismic, impacts, blast, and others.
• Proficiency in using structural analysis software, Finite Element such as ANSYS,
• SAP2000, Robot or similar tools.
• Experience in 3D BIM modelling such as TEKLA, Navisworks will be an advantage.
