Technical Director (Maritime)

Our client, a high profiling technology organisation, urgently require an experienced Technical Director to run a major Maritime programme that they are delivering.In order to be successful, you will have the following background:Background within either UK Military, or working with the Military/MoD as a customerExperience of acting as a senior technical authority, providing architectural leadershipEnterprise Architecture background across software engineering and platform delivery, including cloud-hosted services, APIs, DevSecOps, CI/CD and test automationExperience of introducing emerging technologies including AI, ML and data enabled servicesStrong and robust stakeholder management skillsSC ClearedWithin this role, you will be responsible for:Senior leadership role within a multi-year delivery environment, supporting thousands of uniformed personnel and civil servantsSet the technical direction for the software house, ensuring digital products and services are aligned to MoD priorities and wider defence policyDefine and maintain technical architecture roadmapTranslate operational and business needs into coherent technical strategyEnsure that platforms, products, data, integration patterns and engineering approaches support long-term mission outcomes as well as immediate delivery prioritiesProvide technical leadership across complex code, low-code, data and platform servicesWork with stakeholders across MoD organisationsLead the approach surrounding modern engineering and emerging technologiesProvide governance, assurance and risk management across the delivery portfolioTech: Python, TypeScript, React, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Tekton and associated DevSecOps toolchains, Saas platforms, Microsoft Power Platform, Palantir FoundryThis represents an excellent opportunity to secure a long term role, within a high profile and dynamic organisation.If you receive suspicious outreach claiming to be from us, please contact us via the ManpowerGroup website.TPBN1_UKTJ
