As a User Researcher, you will design services that enable users to manage their interactions with Government departments through live digital platforms. These services will encompass a broad spectrum of topics and user needs, requiring a strong user-focused approach and expertise in user-centric design.
Recent times have taught us that working remotely is a successful way of collaborating, but on occasion you will be asked to attend other locations in the UK for short periods.
What you'll do:
Work collaboratively with user researchers, interaction designers, content designer, service designers and performance analysts as well as software developers and policy teams to produce outstanding digital services.
- Conduct research and engage with a diverse range of users to design intuitive experiences that address real challenges and meet their needs effectively.
- Create high-quality, compelling design concepts and artefacts such as personas, flows, service maps and wireframes.
- Design in an inclusive and accessible way
- Work in a multi-disciplinary delivery team
What you'll need:
- Solid foundation in user-centered design, from concept to final delivery.
- Proficiency with tools, processes, and methods, and the ability to guide an agile delivery team.
- Strong ability to understand and articulate the needs of both technical and business stakeholders clearly.
- Skilled in managing stakeholder expectations and handling difficult discussions.
- Experienced in creating rapid paper and digital prototypes.
- This role requires client-mandated travel for face-to-face team events for two days each month. Locations may vary from your base location.
