Expert Thinking is looking to hire a Managing Consultant / Technical Director (Azure). This is not a hands-off leadership role. They are looking for a genuine Azure expert who still spends 40–60% of their time hands-on, designing architectures, shaping landing zones, and reviewing real code, while leading delivery and senior consultants.

What matters

• Deep, real-world Microsoft Azure expertise (non-negotiable)
• Consultancy / professional services background
• Ownership of multiple Azure engagements, not just single projects
• Comfortable acting as technical authority and delivery escalation point
• Still enjoys getting into the detail: architecture, IaC, pipelines

What you'll do

• Lead complex Azure programmes end-to-end
• Own Azure standards, frameworks, and technical quality
• Design and sign off Azure architectures
• Review and shape platform and infrastructure code
• Mentor senior consultants and set the technical bar

What this is not

• A hands-off manager
• A generic "any-cloud" architect
• A slide-led consulting role
