The Role
As the Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in delivering value across a portfolio of digital and systems engineering initiatives. You will lead the coordination of Portfolio Epics, ensuring alignment to quarterly business ambitions while driving seamless collaboration across engineering, UX, and architecture teams.This is a highly cross-functional position where you will help bridge problem-to-solution engineering, working across digital platforms, vehicle systems, and customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is prioritised and aligned with stakeholder needs
- Coordinate delivery of Portfolio Epics and align outputs with quarterly objectives
- Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and development teams
- Lead planning alignment across timing, dependencies, and delivery milestones
- Manage competing priorities, balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategy
- Drive governance cadence, including QBR/BRP ceremonies and sprint showcases
- Collaborate across domains to ensure synergy, visibility of dependencies, and risk mitigation
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment on priorities and expectations
Essential Skills & Experience
- Competent in digital systems concepts - UX/I/architecture/VCDP/DCP
- Knowledge in all aspects of systems engineering: concept design, requirements authoring, logical and solution architecture, functional safety, cybersecurity and legal/regulatory compliance
- Wide, general understanding of automotive architecture, systems, software and features
- Knowledge of designing and architecting complex systems and architectures
- Proven knowledge of electrical/electronic automotive physical platform solutions
- Knowledge of HMI / app integration
- Understanding of closed loop control systems physical architectures including sensors, actuators
- Understanding of software architecture and operating systems (Autosar, QNX, Linux, Android)
- Knowledge of networking systems and protocols
- Project management, Leadership and planning skills are essential, along with good teamwork and excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Strategic thinking is also essential.
- Customer first mindset
- Good understanding of automotive industry, including competitor and market awareness

Desirable Skills
- Ability to rapidly understand the key concepts of the system of interest and to lead groups of subject matter experts to design and architect these systems
- Ability to resolve complex, cross functional and cross-domain systems engineering problems
- Experience operating inside an Agile framework
- Knowledge of programme delivery systems and lifecycles
- Competence in all aspects of systems engineering: concept design, requirements authoring, logical and solution architecture, functional safety, cybersecurity and legal/regulatory compliance
