Software Engineer - Automotive

Role Overview:
As an Automotive Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-performance embedded software solutions across a variety of electrical and electronic systems. You will contribute to the design, development, and optimisation of system-level software in safety-critical automotive applications.

Key Responsibilities:
You'll be involved in the full lifecycle of embedded software development, including:
* Operating Systems: Developing and maintaining low-level software that manages hardware resources.
* Device Drivers: Creating interfaces between hardware components and operating systems.
* Compilers: Building tools to translate high-level code into machine instructions.
* Firmware Development: Engineering software to control and manage specific hardware functions.
* Networking Software: Designing communication protocols and software for system interconnectivity.
* System-Level Security: Implementing robust security measures to safeguard systems from vulnerabilities.
* Performance Optimisation: Enhancing system speed, efficiency, and responsiveness.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
* Strong programming skills in Embedded C, with additional proficiency in C++ or Assembly as a plus.
* Solid understanding of computer architecture and hardware/software interaction.
* In-depth knowledge of operating systems (e.g. RTOS, AUTOSAR environments).
* Proven problem-solving and debugging capabilities in embedded systems.
* Experience in automotive software development and testing processes.
* Familiarity with AUTOSAR architecture and concepts.
* Experience working on safety-critical software projects (e.g. ISO 26262 environments).

Desired Skills:
* Experience with Analog Devices' wBMS/BMS chipsets.
* Knowledge of battery management systems and their software frameworks.
* Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g. CAN, LIN, FlexRay).
