Senior Software Engineer (United Kingdom)

I'm currently building a small team for a fast-growing UK-based retail and eCommerce company that’s undergoing a major digital transformation. We're looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to join on a 6-month remote contract and help deliver high-impact features on a modern, scalable platform.

You’ll be part of a collaborative product team working with the latest Rails stack to build responsive, user-focused applications.

Job Title: Ruby on Rails Developer

Location: Remote (UK hours overlap required)

Type: Contract (6 months)

Rate: £550/day (outside IR35)

Key Requirements:

Commercial experience with Ruby on Rails (Rails 7)

Strong knowledge of Hotwire (Turbo + Stimulus)

Comfortable with PostgreSQL, Sidekiq, Redis, and background job processing

Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and scalable backend architecture

Bonus: Experience in retail or eCommerce platforms
