Data Analyst – Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences Sector

Express Recruitment is working with Verpora in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry to recruit a talented Data Analyst to join a well-established consultancy based in Nottingham. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on behalf of global drug research firms within an exciting research team. The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary of up to £34,000 per annum D.O.E, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including 33 days holiday, flexible working, and a hybrid model allowing for one day of remote work per week.

Skills & Experience

• Proficient in data visualisation and interrogation tools including Excel (Pivot Tables, V-LOOKUPS) and Power BI
• Knowledge or practical experience working with SQL, SQL Server, R and Python
• Previous experience in a similar data mining or analysis position, ideally within pharmaceutical or life sciences
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle client-facing responsibilities effectively
• Analytically minded with a natural passion for problem solving and data preparation
• Experience with data management tools such as Tableau Prep and Alteryx is highly desirable
• A qualification in advanced analytics or expertise in modelling and algorithms is preferred

Roles & Responsabilities

• Perform complex data analysis on massive datasets from various sources using key Excel functions
• Create and maintain detailed production reports and documentation including change logs and findings
• Identify and correct inaccurate or incorrect data to ensure all datasets are thoroughly cleansed
• Liaise directly with external clients to understand data issues and perform root cause analysis
• Work closely with internal and external teams to provide feedback and suggest process improvements
• Support the wider team with the implementation of new products and research projects
