Lead Modern Workplace Engineer / Architect

Location: Hybrid - 3 days WFH and 2 days per week on client site in Amesbury/Salisbury area (travel is fully expensed)

Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum

Security Clearance: Eligible for SC Clearance (Sole UK Passport)

About the Role:

Join a technology consultancy delivering a high-profile Windows 11 transformation program for a key UK government client.

The first 2 years will mainly focus on application packaging as part of this transformation.

After completion of this transformation the role will expand to working across different projects with other clients, in different locations in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and deploy application packages using tools like Microsoft Intune, SCCM, AdminStudio, and InstallShield
• Convert existing packages to MSIX format for cloud-based deployment
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align packaging with project goals and security policies
• Automate processes using PowerShell scripting
• Maintain thorough documentation of packaging and deployment procedures
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support

What They're Looking For:

• Extensive experience with Windows application packaging and deployment (MSI, MSIX)
• Strong knowledge of Windows 11 architecture and modern deployment methods
• Proficiency with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), SCCM, AdminStudio, and/or InstallShield
• Experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Must have lived in the UK continuously for the last 5 years and be sole UK nationals.
