💰 £85,000–£95,000 + 5% Bonus & Benefits

📍 Remote-first with occasional client travel (approx. 2-3 days per month)

We’re supporting a major digital transformation programme within the public sector and are looking for an experienced Lead Quality Engineer to join a high-performing Agile engineering team delivering critical services at scale.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on technical leader who enjoys shaping QA strategy while remaining close to the technology. You’ll work across modern cloud-native platforms, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams building secure, scalable solutions using Java and modern engineering practices.

🔧 Key Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java-based test automation

• Selenium, Cucumber and BDD frameworks

• Deep understanding of QA processes and testing across multiple test levels

• Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)

• Strong stakeholder engagement and team leadership capability

• Passion for mentoring and developing engineers

• Lead quality engineering initiatives across complex delivery programmes

• Drive best practice in automation, testing strategy and engineering quality

• Collaborate with Developers, DevOps Engineers and Product teams

• Support and mentor engineers within a mature Agile environment

• Influence engineering standards and continuous improvement initiatives
