Senior Azure Data Engineer
Salary: Up to £60,000
Must be eligible for SC Clearance
The Role:
Join a 150+ employee scale-up digital transformation consultancy as a Senior Data Engineer.
This role is a blend of remote working, office-based collaboration at their Bristol office, and expensed client site visits in the South of England.
What you’ll do
- Work on end-to-end data engineering projects for a range of clients, including Defence
- Design and build robust data pipelines (batch, streaming, and on-demand)
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL/ELT) data from multiple sources (APIs, databases, SaaS platforms)
- Develop and maintain data platforms in Azure (e.g. Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake)
- Structure and model data to support analytics and business use cases
- Work closely with clients to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to deliver scalable solutions
- Mentor junior team members
What you’ll bring
- Strong experience building data pipelines and ETL processes
- Solid SQL skills and understanding of data modelling
- Experience with Azure data services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake preferred)
- Experience integrating data via APIs and external systems
- Solid consulting skills - communication, problem-solving, stakeholder engagement
- Eligible for SC Security Check
