About the Role:

· We're looking for an organised, hands-on Desktop Support Engineer to join a dedicated on-site team supporting a secure government environment. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality IT support across Install, Move, Add and Change (IMAC) activities, ensuring users have the right equipment, configured correctly, and ready to perform.

· This role suits either an experienced IT Support Engineer or a career-changer with solid technical aptitude looking to grow within a structured, professional environment.

What You'll Do:

· Device Management: Build, configure, and rebuild user devices in line with service requirements.

· Inventory & Stock Control: Maintain accurate hardware records and follow stock control processes, including allocation and disposal.

· Service Coordination: Manage IMAC activities from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery against SLAs.

· Customer Experience: Provide a friendly, professional service at all times, supporting users on-site and ensuring minimal disruption.

· What You'll Bring

· Experience in IT support or a strong technical foundation with a willingness to learn.

· Working knowledge of Windows 7-10 and common software installation processes.

· Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow).

· Basic understanding of networking and server environments.

· Excellent communication, organisation, and troubleshooting skills.

· Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.

· A positive, adaptable mindset with a team-first approach.
