Role Description
This is a full-time role for an IT Engineer/ trainee, based in Hertfordshire. The IT Engineer depending on experience, will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting technical hardware, software, and network systems within the organization. Key responsibilities include cabling, installing hardware and providing technical support to staff, ensuring optimal network security and performance, and resolving IT-related issues. The role also involves maintaining networking devices and supporting the overall IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
- logical thinker to diagnose and resolve system and hardware problems effectively.
- nice to have; Solid understanding of Networking and Information Technology concepts, including configuring and managing network devices and related systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and provide timely solutions to IT challenges in a dynamic environment.
- Certifications in networking or cybersecurity (e.g., CompTIA, CCNA) are advantageous.
- Prior experience in an IT support or network administration role is optional but no necessity
- Enthusiasm is nice
- Knowledge of linux admin is advantageous (mail servers, webservers, voip servers)
