Senior Deployment & Integration Engineer (Permanent)Location:Prestwick, ScotlandWorking pattern: Full-time, Mon-Fri + regular on-call rota (from home) once trainedSalary: Up to £60,000 (base)Eligibility: Must be eligible to obtain SC ClearanceThe OpportunityWe're supporting a leading global technology and consulting organisation in the Critical National Infrastructure space, seeking a Senior Deployment and Integration Engineer to join an onsite support team in Prestwick. You'll play a key role in the deployment, integration and support of operational systems that underpin UK critical national infrastructure.This is a customer-facing role combining Linux, virtualisation, networking, automation and troubleshooting, working closely with both onsite stakeholders and offshore engineering teams.What You'll Be DoingProviding 3rd line (expert) support for operational ATM systems, including incident investigation and root-cause analysisCollaborating with offshore development teams to diagnose and resolve complex issuesSupporting deployment and maintenance of training, test and operational environmentsActing as an engineering focal point during integration and validation activities with operational end usersDeploying and integrating hardware/software into customer and internal environmentsProducing technical documentation (procedures, high-level designs, network designs)Building strong relationships with customer stakeholders and helping identify improvement opportunitiesWhat We're Looking For (Essential)Experience with integration testing of software systemsStrong background in a formal IT infrastructure environmentLinux (ideally RHEL)Virtualisation: VMware and/or KVMLog analysis and troubleshootingScripting: Bash/shell and/or PythonNetworking fundamentals: TCP/IP, multicast, routingNetwork troubleshooting tools: tcpdump, WiresharkSoftware installation & fault-findingAutomation/provisioning: Ansible or PuppetConfident communicator-able to explain technical topics to mixed technical/non-technical stakeholdersStrong customer-facing skills; calm under pressureWillingness to travel occasionally (business need)DesirableContainers: Docker / KubernetesExperience working across highly distributed teamsBenefits: 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (buy/sell), 4%/4% pension, private medical (incl. dental/optical), life assurance, income protection, cycle to work, EAP, learning & development, social eventsTPBN1_UKTJ
